XFINITY Home Battery Replacement: Tyco XHS1-TY motion sensor

This video will show you how to replace batteries
in the following XFINITY Home motion sensor. You’ll need two CR-123A batteries per device
and double-sided tape should you need to remove the sensor. First, be sure to disarm your XFINITY Home
security system. Now, firmly place your thumb over the small
tab on the front of the motion sensor, and push it up to slide it off the back cover. After removing the cover from the sensor – you
may receive a “tamper alert” from your system. The tamper alert warns you when the cover
of your device is open and will clear once the battery is replaced and the cover is reattached. Avoid touching the tamper switch while the
cover is off. Touching the tamper switch may reset the sensor
to factory settings. Remove the old batteries by gently lifting
them out of the battery compartment. Next, insert two new batteries into the battery
slots positioning the batteries as shown in the diagram inside the battery compartment. Align the guide tabs on either side of the
motion sensor with the track on the back cover – and slide the motion sensor down over the
cover until it snaps closed. Hold the bottom of the back cover for added
stability if necessary. Once when the battery is inserted correctly
– and the cover is reattached – you’ll see a red light on the front of the sensor. Visit xfinity dot com slash XFINITY Home Battery
