Whistleblower Testimony Hinges on Protection From Trump

Welcome back to Frontpagelive.com, I’m Carl
Cameron. Donald Trump has crossed yet another line
and invited an additional article of impeachment for obstruction of justice by tweeting that
the powerful chairman of the House intelligence committee, Democrat Adam Schiff, is a traitor! Quote: “I want Schiff questioned at the highest
level for fraud & treason.” Schiff has said a deal is in the works for
the Ukraine-Gate whistleblower to speak to Congress in safety, quote: “The exact timing
of the testimony depends on when the Director of National Intelligence completes the security
clearance process for the whistleblower’s lawyers.“ But those very attorneys say discussions are
ongoing because their client’s safety is at growing risk: quote “Certain individuals
have issued a $50,000 quote “bounty” for quote “any information” relating to our
client’s identity. Unfortunately, we expect this situation to
worsen, and to become even more dangerous for our client, and other whistleblowers,
as Congress seeks to investigate this matter.” Trump, over the weekend again called the impeachment
inquiry a “scam” and a “witch hunt” and said Schiff, who is following the law,
should resign. Trump’s attacks on members of Congress and
whistleblowers as traitors without a shred of evidence – amounts to another crime. Federal whistleblower protections began after
Richard Nixon resigned the presidency rather than be impeached in 1974. Congress passed and President Jimmy Carter
signed the first robust whistleblower protections starting in 1978. The Whistle Blower Protection Act of 1989
was signed into law by a Republican President, George H.W. Bush. Thanks for visiting FrontPageLive.com share
