Hello there! This is the smanos KP-20 home security keypad. It is very simple to install and gives you a seamless control over your smanos K1 smart home security system. The unique design of the keypad features 4 identical keys which allow you to set a personalized non-numerical pattern to serve as passcode for your security system. With the KP-20 you can arm, disarm, and home arm your K1. Connecting the keypad can be done in a few simple steps using the smanos home app. Use the lever tool in your K1 kit to remove the back cover of this keypad. Select the K1 from your list of devices and go to the accessories section. Press the + sign to add new accessory and choose “Keypad” from the menu. The installation instructions will now appear on your screen. Pull the battery strap out of the sensor, press the “start pairing” button in your app, and click the tamper switch on the back of the device 3 times. You can find the keypad in your smanos home app in the accessory overview after pairing. You can edit the name and location of the keypad, set a new pattern, set the status light, and check the battery level. Before operating your K1 system, this keypad needs to be placed in correct orientation on a flat surface. This can be done by assuring the green level slot is positioned at the top of the back cover. To arm your K1 system, rotate the ring to the right. The keypad will activate and show you the current status of your K1 first. Red LED indication means the system is armed, blue means the system in home mode, while green means the system is disarmed. After rotating the ring, enter the initial key pattern which is by default 6 times the left top key. The keypad LED light will turn red which shows that the system is armed. Your home is now successfully secured. If you press a wrong key pattern, the keypad will notify you by beeping 3 times. To activate the K1 home mode, rotate the ring to the right and to the left quickly or left to right, as long is it’s rotating in an opposite direction. Enter the key pattern, the LED light will turn blue to indicate home armed status. All the sensors are securing its protected area except by default the motion sensor in your system. You can now move freely in your home without triggering the alarm. Finally, rotate the ring to the left, and then enter the keypad pattern to disarm your K1 system. The keypad LED will now turn green. Before mounting, start the testing mode in the K1 app. Check the signal strength between the K1 hub and the keypad by pressing the tamper switch. The KP-20 is now ready for mounting. Place the back cover on a wall close to your entrance with the help of the mounting materials provided in its product box. Make sure the “UP” arrow on the base is pointing towards the ceiling and then lock your keypad onto it. Last but not least, the key passcode must be re-patterned to your own preference. Select the keypad from the accessories list on your smanos home app. Here you can view the current key pattern and set a new key pattern by pressing the current one first.
