INDIA SUCCESSFULLY TEST FIRE NUCLER CAPABLE K4 SLBM – CHINA IN ITS RANGE !

India has successfully fired nuclear-capable
submarine-launched K-4 ballistic missile. The test was executed off the coast of Andhra
Pradesh, which is located in the southern part of India. The missile under development will be deployed
on indigenous Arihant class nuclear powered submarines of the Indian Navy. As per reports, the test-firing of the missile
was carried out from an underwater platform in the sea. This test is a major landmark for India as
it gets ready to field an operational nuclear triad. In this video Defense Updates discusses why
Arihant class submarine armed with K-4 Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile is the most lethal
weapon of India? Let’s get started. This video is sponsored by War Thunder, the

War of 1971, US President Richard Nixon sent a carrier battle group named Task Force 74,
led by the nuclear-powered USS Enterprise into the international waters of the Bay of
Bengal in a show of force. In those days, the U.S was hostile towards India as India
was close to the Soviet Union. In response, the Soviet Union had sent a submarine
armed with nuclear missiles from Vladivostok to trail the US task force. The Soviet submarine surface when the Americans
appeared. It was done to demonstrate to them that the Soviet Union had positioned a nuclear
submarine in the Indian Ocean and this prevented any intervention by the U.S in the ongoing
war. The event demonstrated the significance of
nuclear weapons and ballistic missile submarines to then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Following the 1974 Smiling Buddha nuclear
test, the Indian government ordered the feasibility study for an indigenous nuclear propulsion
system. The Indian Navy’s Advanced Technology Vessel
(ATV) project to design and construct a nuclear submarine took shape in the 1990s. Ballistic missile submarines are generally
nuclear powered and carry long-range nuclear-tipped missiles also known as SLBM or Submarine Launched
Ballistic Missile. Nuclear strikes can be carried out from land,
air, and sea and this is known as Nuclear Triad.
Nuclear powered ballistic missile submarines are considered to be the most potent weapon
developed by mankind as they are the most survivable part of the nuclear triad. A surprise preemptive strike might wipe out
a country’s land-based missiles and nuclear bombers, but it’s very difficult to track
and take out ballistic-missile submarines patrolling quietly in the depths of the ocean. Since they can’t be taken out by ‘first
strike’ and can retaliate against an enemy with SLBMs, no sane adversary will attack
a country that possesses a Nuclear Powered Ballistic missile submarines armed with SLBMs. The importance of these can be gauged from
the fact that the 14 Ballistic Missile Submarines of American Ohio class together carry approximately
50% of the total US active inventory of strategic thermonuclear warheads. SLBM armed nuclear powered submarine is especially
significant for India as it has ‘No First Use of Nuclear Weapons’ policy. Nuclear powered ballistic missile submarines
are very complex and costly to develop. This is why the US, Russia, UK, France, China,
and India are currently the only countries to field a nuclear powered ballistic missile
submarine armed. Furthermore, integrating SLBMs with them is
a major engineering challenge. K-4 is one of the two underwater missiles
that were being developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization of India, other
being the smaller K-15 The K series missiles are named after Indian
scientist and former Indian President, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam. Viewers may note that he
is called the ‘ Missile Man of India’ as he made major contributions to India’s missile
programs. K-4 is a nuclear-capable Intermediate-range
submarine-launched ballistic missile. It weighs 17 tonnes, has a length of 12 m
and a diameter of 1.3 m. The missile is solid-fueled and has an accuracy of 20-30 m CEP. It is not MIRV (Multiple Independent Reentry
Vehicle) enabled as of now. It will carry a single nuclear warhead with
a yield equivalent to 200-250 KT of TNT. For comparison, Hiroshima’s “Little Boy”
bomb had a yield of 13-18 kilotons whereas Nagasaki’s “Fat Man” bomb had a yield
of 20–22-kilotons of TNT. To give viewers a perspective, Little Boy
atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima had a yield of 15 kt of TNT and Fat Man atomic bomb that
was detonated over Nagasaki had a yield of 21 kt of TNT. K 4 has an estimated range of 3500 km or 2175
miles. The missile is being developed for being to
arm the fleet of the Arihant Class nuclear submarines being built by India. India is
expected to carry out more tests of the missile. The Arihant class meaning for the ‘Slayer
of Enemies’ is a class of nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines being built for
the Indian Navy under the Advanced Technology Vessel project. INS Arihant is the first vessel of this class
and it is India’s first indigenous Ballistic Missile Submarine. INS Arihant displaces around 6,000 tonnes.
It has a length of 365 ft (111 m). It is powered by an 83 MW nuclear reactor that drives a
single seven-blade propeller. The submarine has a maximum speed of 12–15
knots (22–28 km/h) when surfaced and 24 knots (44 km/h) when submerged. It is thought to be able to operate at depths
of 1150 ft (350 m.) INS Arihant has unlimited range & endurance
limited only by essential supplies. It is equipped with USHUS which is an integrated
sonar system. It is used for detecting and tracking enemy submarines, surface vessels,
and torpedoes and can be used for underwater communication and avoiding obstacles. The
sonar can work in both active and passive mode and is capable of interception and underwater
communication. In Now 2018, INS Arihant successfully completed
its first deterrence patrol. Hailing INS Arihant’s achievement, Indian
Prime Minister Modi had said: “a credible nuclear deterrence is the need of the hour”. The submarines has four launch tubes. It will be able to carry 4 K-4s or 12 K-15s INS Arihant has 533 mm torpedo tubes for launching
torpedoes. However, these are intended primarily for self-defense. Ballistic missile submarines
are not meant to proactively hunt enemy ships and submarines but their mission is to lay
low and provide the enemy as little a chance as possible to detect them. India has already built the second submarine
of this class named INS Arighat. It is currently undergoing trials and is expected to be commissioned
later this year. It is interesting to note that INS Arighat
is larger than INS Arihant and is powered by a nuclear reactor having more capacity. INS Arighat will be able to carry 8 K-4s or
24 K-15s. With K4 India will be able to strike deep
inside China when launched the Bay of Bengal. India has plans to build 4 submarines of the
Arihant class. Once deployed, these will together carry 28
K4 SLBMs – 4 in the first and 8 each in the other three. This fleet will be massively destructive and
will act as a major deterrence as it will greatly increase India’s second-strike capabilities. It is interesting to note that India is also
working on K 5 and K6 missiles that will have much longer range, be MIRV enabled and will
be deployed in a new series of Ballistic Missile Submarine.

  1. The major enemy of India is Pakistan…they’ve been at it since the two countries divided into separate nations. Yes, China is also an adversary but people don’t realize that every single day India and Pakistan exchange live fire. There’s a dispute area up in the mountains where they wake up each other with artillery fire every day.

  2. Fun Fact: Brahmos 2 is also almost ready will go through final trials in December and enter mass production by 2021 it will have top speed of 7-8 Mach's 😘

RIP china RIP pakistan RIP jihadis

  4. Who!!! India is trying to fight ??? China are Pakistan ??? Good luck to India who couldn’t even defend a fighter jet that got shot down in a dogfight 😱😱

  5. Right stop UK foreign aid instantly!!! You can afford nuclear weapons then don’t expect the UK to fund your poor. If you can’t be arsed why should we!!!!

  6. WE WISH THE BEST FROM USA, AND THE GREEK SPARTAN NATION. OUR WARMEST WISHES TO EVERY INDIAN HOME. GOD BLESS YOU ALL WITH HEALTH, JOY, AND PROSPERITY. WE LOVE, ADMIRE, AND RESPECT YOU… LET MY MESSAGE OF LOVE REACH ALL INDIANS IN THE WORLD BY THE MAGIC OF INTERNET. REMEMBER WE ARE ALL HINDUS….

  7. Now China has a super virus killing people called CORONAVIRUS. ALL INDIAN AIPKRTS ON HIGH ALERT… VIRUS NOW IN JAPAN, MALAYSIA, THAILAND, SOUTH KOREA… COMES FROM EATING DOGS, CATS AND OTHER ANIMALS AT A MARKET IN WUHAN PROVINCE. ALREADY SPREADING THROUGH 3 CHINESE PROVINCES AND CHINA TRIED A COVERUP. WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION GOING ON HIGH ALERT FOR A POSSIBLE PANDEMIC! WEAR MASKS IT IS A AIRBORNE VIRUS SPREAD FROM HUNAN TO HUMAN COMING FROM ANIMALS.

  8. I hope the Indian military guys know about (and use) deodorant, unlike the average Indian dude. It's impossible to serve in a submarine otherwise (or maybe that's the plan: it's a bio-weapon… open the hatch and let 'the cloud' come out and do its thing, all life on Earth will perish horribly, and quickly).

  9. Few things-

    1. US mustn't Glee too much about this. Soon there will be more that cover the entire LxB of America as threats don't have only one name. Also, it shouldn't think that it will be creating a West Asia type filth here in South Asia by pushing one state against the other and in the midst making money from arms sales…Pakistan might have been your lap dog/whore for many years but don't think you can play India against China.

    2. Russians have been there for us in thick and thin…during the best springs and during the harshest winters.India till date hasn't forgotten about the USS Enterprise as well as the Vladivostok nuclear flotilla.

3.US speaks too much but is hesitant to give India sophisticated defense equipment while Russia delivers it so. India may have good ties with US but US shouldn't expect that it will affect Indo-Ruso ties by any means.

  10. Good. Anything which will increase casualties in the inevitable war between India and China/Pakistan is a net good for the rest of humanity.

  11. one question for you: both India and China promised not to use nuclear bomb first. If China attack India with only conventional weapons which China has the upper hands on this regards, then what this K4 for??
K4 was launched from an underwater platform not from Arihant, in fact it cannot even fit into Arihant without some modification, as you said, K4 is 12 meters, Arihant? Beam: 11 m (36 ft) Draft: 10 m (33 ft).
the sad fact is Arihant class (6000-6800 tons) is the largest nuclear sub that India can build with diameter about 9.5 to 10 meter, they have no capability of building larger class nuclear submarines due to a simple reason, India does not have large plate bending machine over 5000 tons, with this capability, the largest one they can make is Arihant class.

  12. What is it that they don't want it ran to have nuclear weapons. But they want India have nuclear weapons I don't understand United States. Really don't understand our government or what they're really for. I think we need to defund about half the government. Cuz it doesn't know what it's doing. Our government has outlived its worth. Before long I don't think there will be a Constitution of the United States. I think you'll be a giant prison state of the United States. United States of America will no longer exist. It will be called The Republic of the rich. And the rest of you will be moved out like cattle and slaughtered

  13. Why is the point of "knots" and "nautical miles"? Wouldn't it be easier to leave those units of measurement in the past… that way we only have to fight between miles+kilometers, inches+centimeters, ect?

  14. Now Buddha is smiling proudly towards China. Never think like 1962. Not even in your dreams. Never mess with India. India is not a viper like Pakistan. But India is a stone fish. Careful. That is the message from Arihant. -yours lovingly, Indian.

  15. I'm guessing because arihant is just 6000 tons, that limits the slbm's range? US or russian subs are quite larger. Like 15000 tons? Hopefully we'll get much larger subs soon.

  16. Pak successfuly tested bhikari _420
toilet paper(🇵🇰) capable intercontinental balestic missile with the help of chappamookku chinese dragons 👌👏🙏
Love and respect from domarchod Turkey
    😄😉

  17. that "Indian" "NUCLER"powered submarine is nothing more than just re-branded soviet "Project 670 Skat" ) wouldn't surprised at all if that puperduper K-4 SLBM is built on top of soviet technologies)

  18. 222 squadron, Arihant with k4, China make a wrong move
We’ll cut your jugular, naval blockade on your trade across Indian Ocean.

  19. LOL
    After Australia,
China is world uranium richest country.

Pls no compare China and toilet-less country.

    India 13 billions population
    Sodiers 👉 1.2 millions

    Pakistan 200 millions
    Sodiers 👉 650000

    😂😂😂😂😂

  20. Defense reaserch and develoment organisation drdo always underplays capabilities of its state of the art weapon systems. K4 is a boost glide weapon with mirv. The warheads are with hypersonic glide vehicles with propulsion and stealth. The range with 3000kg warhead is more than 4000kms. And with 70% warhead it can easily go upto atleast 7000kms. K4 is a nightmare for china as china doesnt have an anti icbm defense system like India. The Arihant class submarine from which this missile will be launched are equipped with 7 silos with multiple missiles per silo like the usa ohio class.

  21. India is not targeting any country. This is for defence purposes only. We wish to live in peace with everyone and hope we can all develop peacefully and lift people out of poverty.

  22. I wonder why the Indians always want to mention about China all the times.

But I hardly heard any Chinese comparing China to India.

  23. Pakistan is testing ballistic missle of 1 km range and insallah it will be ready in 2020….i am Pakistani and i am proud of that….😎💪 haters gonna hate🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰….and i am learning english from google translator….not from madarsas in pakistan ….that's why my English is so good

  24. Whenever INDIA Test new technologically advanced nuclear capable ballistic missiles…Pakistan re test same gazanavi/babar toy missile again and again..as usual yesterday they did same after Indias K4…funny 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  25. After this there is K-5 (with range about 5000 km) missile which is capable of carrying nuclear weapons up to 1 ton. It will be fired from the platforms S-5 submarine.
Along with this DRDO is also making S-6 mirv capable missile capable of carrying 6 nuclear missiles weighing upto 3 tons.
Indian Navy will also get 2 more submarines of arihant-class S4 and S4* in 2021 and 2022 respectively. After this the construction of S5 class submarine will start.

  26. I hope India's power increases more so it can pressurise Turkey. Those Turkish Muslims have destroyed our Cyprus they forcefully divided our land and we need growing powers like India to help us. US European Union India China Russia please help and support us to get back our territory which is illegally occupied by Turkey.

  27. While hundreds of million of Indians pooping in the open places every day they still even dare to boast about their primitive missiles , what a joke 😁😁

  28. Pakistan ass is under fire oh pigs ass is burning imran Khan omg my ass my ass ouch ouch and come and suck my dick indian haters

  29. One of the poorest, most poverty stricken countries in the world. And look what they're spending their much needed tax funds on.
    Silly, stupid and ridiculous.

  30. God bless India. India still is Russia's ally. We are Russia's number one customer of weapons. God bless Russia. Jesus bless Russia.

  31. The major problem of whole world is 13 European royal reptilian bloodline who control the world by artificial day /.night with chemtrail. They are spread in America to Europe. Mixing with the people..clone the original one and now commenting here as love from usa love from uk.. beware…there main agenda is one world order…agenda 2030. They are pushing again world war 3. Beware china india Africa ,, ur main enemy is something else waiting for.ur destruction

  32. You are wrong India was non aligned indira Gandhi went to nixon to stop genocide of Bangladeshi 3 million killed and raped but Nixon abused Indira as bitch and requested pakistan to open diplomatic channel to china so that china could attack eastern borders of India.
