So we’re gonna get started installing this. And we’ll show you guys how easy it is. So the first step is to install the door shield. The door shield… There’s two that come with the kit. So you put one where your deadbolt is one down on the bottom lock. And… it’s pretty… probably the easiest part to install because most doors are hollow and it just requires one screw on the top one screw on the bottom Alright, so the door shield is installed It actually did not fit flush enough to the door for the door to be able to close so we used a soft mallet to hammer it in and the door can close and lock now. The next step is to install the hinge shield. And before you do that you have to remove two of the screws from each of your hinges and drill pilot holes. Once you have the hinge shield in place. you’re gonna drill two pilot holes for your next set of screws. Now that we have this one hinge shield installed we’re going to do the same thing to the bottom hinge. Now that we have the hinge shields installed we’re going to install the door shield. And there’s a little bit of prep work that needs to take place before the door shield can be installed. The first of which is taking off this little metal piece right here. With the door shield in place and the metal holes punched out You’re gonna come back with a sharp pencil and just mark everywhere that you need a pilot hole to go We actually just went back and tightened all of our screws and now the door shuts. It is a little bit tighter than it was before but that’s to be expected.
