How to Arm Your Honeywell Alarm System

How to Arm Your Honeywell Alarm System

In this video, we will be showing you the
four most common ways to arm your security system. Before you arm the system, please
ensure that all door and window zones are secure and check the keypad for the ready
light. If you need to keep a zone open but would like to arm the rest of the zones, please
refer to bypassing video in this series. The most common way to arm your system is in away
mode. This arms the interior and exterior zones and allows for a 45 second entry and exit
delay. This gives you time to leave after the system is armed and time to enter your
code when you return. For this video, we will be using the code 1, 2, 3, 4. To arm in away
mode, enter your four digit code followed by the number 2. Stay mode bypasses all the
interior zones on your system, and only arms the exterior zones. This is useful for when
you would like arm the system while you are at home. You can arm in stay mode by entering
your 4 digit code followed by the number 3. In max arming mode, all of your zones will
be armed, just like away mode but your entry timer will be removed so the alarm system
will go off instantly when any zone is triggered. During max mode you will still have a 45 second
exit delay before the system is completely armed. To arm in max mode enter your 4 digit
code followed by the number 4. Instant arming mode arms the exterior zones and bypasses
the interior zones, much like stay mode but it removes the 45 second entry delay, causing
the siren to sound instantly when an exterior zone is triggered. During instant mode, you
will still have a 45 second exit delay before the system is completely armed. You can arm
in instant mode by entering your 4 digit code followed by the number 7. The disarm code
removes any arm status and can be used to clear the keypad of any error codes. Use this
command by entering your 4 digit code followed by the number 1. If you have any questions

  1. Nice video and I have a Honeywell Alarm system as well. I was wondering what "max" meant on my keypad. My keypad is the Vista 15p.📟
