City of Fitchburg Security System by Enterprise Systems Group

Hi I’m in the city of Fitchburg Public
Library where ESG installed a security system not only did we install the
system here but also in their City Hall Department of Public Works city parks
and police and fire departments I’m going to take you behind the scenes and
show you how it all works I’m Kristin Henzi and this is ESG TV! I’m in the dispatch center of the city
of Fitchburg police department. This is the brains of the entire operation. All
70 cameras across all sites feed into this one video management system. These cameras have the ability to count how many people are coming in and out of the
building. It also has the ability for heat mapping which means that it will
track how long a person is standing in a particular location and if they’re there
for too long it will send you an alert. These cameras can also pan tilt and zoom so if someone is maybe a little suspicious outside it will zoom in on
them so you get better footage. This is one of the interview rooms in the
Fitchburg police department. There are two security cameras inside this room.
They are always recording but at a low frame rate and low resolution to save
file space on the server. When you need to use the room you just pull this
button and the cameras will then record in high-definition and will pick up on
audio. We wanted to take a trip over to the
Fitchburg fire department to check out their brand new facility. The security
cameras here are tied to the control center at the police department, which we
just saw. What’s so great about this security platform is that you can have
an unlimited number of cameras easily, expandable storage solutions, and you can access the security footage from your mobile device so if you are like we are,
popping around from one location to the next, you’re always connected.
