Avermedia Live Gamer Pro Copy Protected Error – Can’t Record on Avermedia HDCP Copy Protection

The Avermedia Live Gamer Pro is an excellent
video capture device for Xbox gameplay. But when the Copy Protected Content warning
comes up, you won’t be able to record anything from the Xbox. It’s caused whenever HDCP copy protection
is enabled you play a Blu-ray disc or watch videos from a streaming service like Amazon
Prime. To disable the HDCP message, you have to hard
reboot the Xbox One by holding down the power button until it turns off or by unplugging
the console. Then wait about 10 to 15 seconds before restarting
again. When the Xbox starts up again, HDCP will be
turned off and you can record with the Avermedia LGP again. If you just turn off the Xbox from the shutdown
menu, the console still remembers that HDCP was turned on so the full reboot is the only
way to completely disable it. And unfortunately, you’ll have to do this
every time you watch something from Amazon, Netflix, Hulu or other streaming services. But at least for now you know how to fix the
Copy Protected Content error and get your Avermedia LGP working again. I hope you found this video helpful and if
you enjoy my style of videos please subscribe! I really appreciate it and thanks for watching!

  1. OMG, thank you SO much! This worked. I was unable to stream for some time, because my OBS wouldn't register LGP Lite at all and ReCentral kept saying something about protected content.

  2. this really saved me time! i searched everywhere else and no1 can give a god dam simple explanation how to stop this crap! you rock!

  3. Hey! So this is still happening whenever i go to watch a clip i recorded on my xbox. It’s not a major issue, but i can’t play a clip whenever i want while streaming/recording without having to reset my xbox every time now.

  4. great footage. but this is only for xbox one. not having for xbox one in the title makes this misleading. it doesn't help at all for ps3.
