ASSET PROTECTION for Regular People

ASSET PROTECTION for Regular People

Welcome to Platt Law. We’re an estate
planning, elder law, and asset protection law firm located in gorgeous Alpine Utah.
So what are those three areas of law that I just talked about?
Well really, at essence, it’s what the Boy Scouts call “being prepared.”
I was a Boy Scout; my own boys were Boy Scouts; and we all got our Eagle Scout Awards growing up and there’s something that I love about Boy Scouts:
and what that is, is that slogan “Be Prepared.” And so, in my professional life
as an attorney, that’s what I love to do; help clients come up with plans to
make sure that whatever happens to them in their lives–particularly those
negative things such as death or incapacity, or maybe entering a nursing
home or an assisted living center, or maybe even a frivolous lawsuit–that
whatever the bad thing is that happens to them, we’ve got a good solid plan to
make sure that the assets that they’ve spent their life building and protecting
will continue to be protected and eventually get passed on to the people
that they love. And to whom they want to have access to those assets rather than
the people that should have no access to those assets. So that’s what we do.
Whether it’s using wills or trusts, powers of attorney, or even guardianship
s and conservatorships, or even going to the courts if we need to, we’re making sure
that our clients are protected and they’ve got a plan that they’re prepared.
So I’d encourage you to spend some time and look around our website, learn what you
can through our videos or through our blog articles, through our web pages, and
maybe even attend one of our live events, and we can teach you a lot about how you
can be prepared to make sure that what you’ve spent your whole life building up
and protecting is going to be taken care of. So I’m glad you stopped by.
I hope you learn a lot from our website and I hope to talk to you sometime soon.
