Adding User Codes To Your 2GIG Alarm System | Reliable Home Security

This is Jake Schucker with Reliable Home Security.
Today we are going to go over how to install a separate code for a babysitter or a contractor
perhaps. So to change our code or add a new code for
a babysitter or contractor, we want to go to our 2GIG controller, if it’s not currently
already up you can just tap the screen to wake it up. We want to select security and then menu,
and now our tool box. It’s going to ask you for a code so you want to enter in your current
master code, in this case 1561. And as you see there is quite a few different
tabs there. We want to go to user management as we are programming in a user so that would
be under user management. And it does tell us currently what our master
code is. We can add up to 32 different users. We will go ahead and hit add user two. And
we want to enter into a new code. So we will do something simple 1234 and hit okay. It
will ask you to confirm that code to make sure is entered properly. So we will enter
it again, hit okay and as you can see we’ve now successfully entered in a code. Once you select okay it will give you the
option for always and never so you can simply turn the code on and off by just turning from
never to always. That will allow you to basically turn to code on and off in the event that
you have a babysitter that might be there once every few months instead of deleting
the code and having to reprogram it, this allows just to turn it on and off. That also allows for schedule so by schedule,
edit schedule and follow the instructions. We want to add a schedule. This is what allows
us to do recurring for instance, so hit recurring and select the day, so if we have a cleaning
person that is there every Thursday or Wednesday we can select one day in the week, a certain
time frame you want it to work in, so we can maybe every Thursday from nine to five that
code will work and will not work any other time. Other ones are date range if we have a contractor
working in the home for the month of September or the year of 2013, whatever may be, we can
set a date range with the time as well. And lastly is a date, single date. This may
be for a serviceman, plumber, you know, whatever the case may be. The code works for that day
only with a certain time period. So you have all those options when you program in user
codes.
