Hi everyone, it’s Austin with GetSafe Home Security.
Today we’re going to be talking about an outdoor HD security camera. It has a 1080p resolution, it’s
weatherproof, has motion detection. Also has night vision and optional cloud
storage. It has an adjustable mount so you can mount it in any position you need.
It fits on your house. The cord we have here is the optional POE connector –
it’s fully weatherproof – as well as the regular power cord to get the security camera installed, we’re not going to need too many tools just a couple screws and a drill and you can get it all set.
The camera does run on Wi-Fi so you don’t need to run any other cords out to it,
just the power cord. Let’s get started. Alright, the first step in installing the camera
is going to be to pick a location. You’re going to want to pick somewhere that you
can see a good amount of the property and cover high-traffic areas where you
think someone might want to get in. Once you selected that location you’re going
to want to run the power cord. So go ahead and drill the appropriate hole and
run the power cord out to the location where you’re going to mount the camera.
Once you have that finish we’re going to go ahead and mount the camera. Once the camera is secure,
go ahead and plug in whichever the power supplies you chose.
If you’re running the regular power cord let’s go ahead and hook that up.
If you’ve decided to run this on POE and not utilize the Wi-Fi, then go ahead and use that connector.
For this installation we’re going to be using the regular power
connector. Now the cameras hooked up. Go ahead and
tuck your wires back and we’re going to move on to the next step, which is
pairing it with the app. If you haven’t already downloaded the GetSafe Home Security video app,
go ahead and do so and register as a new user. Once you’ve downloaded the app, go ahead and login. We’re going to select the
option to add a new camera in the top right. From this screen we’re going to go
ahead and follow the prompts. You can either scan the QR code on the camera or
paperwork, or you can use the serial number and add the camera. Once you put
that in you’re going to go ahead and pair it with Wi-Fi or if you’re running
it on POE you’re already set. After that step, it will be added to the system and
you can go ahead and view the camera. There you have it. There’s our newly
installed outdoor camera. If you have any questions about this or any of other
products, please give us a call.
